Sabia Khan – was born and lives in the old city of Shajahanabad. Although Sabia’s name may imply an Italian heritage, she, however, is as Indian as they come. Her works are a reflection of nature and women’s relationship with environment. The most prominent features are the bright yet soothing colors that she uses in almost all her paintings. It’s like a festival of colors on your visual cortex. Drawing from the traditional miniatures, Khan’s works showcase many women figures, who constantly draw solace from nature. The constant here is a tree, which depicts flowers, birds, squirrels, butterflies and how every element complements the beauty of the other. .
